Pill protect develops new heat sealed products
Pill protect ltd
New Products Launched Ahead of Schedule
Pill protect ltd, suppliers of specialist child resistant packaging solutions for blister pack drugs, is pleased to announce that a new range of heat-sealed products are to be launched 4 months ahead of schedule. The products (developed by its subsidiary Pill protect Limited) successfully achieved EN14375 accreditation for being child resistant, but senior friendly, to a rating of F=4. This is a higher degree of protection than some of the Company’s main products that have been in the market place for the past 18 months and are already being used by clients such as Lemsip.
The new products are being evaluated by two major global pharmaceutical companies for possible distribution throughout Europe and parts of the USA.
As with all Pill protect solutions the main benefits are that clear and precise dose instructions and branding can be printed onto the blister packs, with the addition of effective anti-counterfeit measures. The products do not damage the medicament when removed from the packaging, which has been a major cause for concern for the consumer.
The new range of products are much easier to install than the existing products as they simply replace the foil layer of the pack and are heat-sealed at standard machine settings.
Joe Waters, Director of Pill protect ltd commented.
‘This is a major development for Pill protect allowing us to commercially exploit the new products well ahead of schedule. Initial interest is strong and I am confident that we will be able to reach new markets more rapidly. We aim to appoint distributors throughout Europe over the coming weeks.
